Why Veneers
With routine care, porcelain veneers last 15 to 20 years or more. They resist staining better than natural enamel.
Glazed porcelain repels coffee, wine, and tobacco discoloration. Your shade stays bright without repeated whitening.
Porcelain reflects light the same way natural enamel does. The result is indistinguishable from healthy, perfect teeth.
Only a thin layer of enamel is removed. Modern veneers are conservative and protect the underlying tooth structure.
The Process
Dr. Ardekani evaluates your teeth, gums, bite, and facial proportions. Digital photos and X-rays guide the design. You preview your result before any prep begins.
A thin layer of enamel. typically less than 0.5mm. is removed from the front of each tooth. Impressions are taken and sent to our ceramist lab.
While your permanent veneers are crafted, you wear a set of custom temporaries that protect your teeth and give you a preview of the final result.
Permanent veneers are bonded with dental-grade resin cement. Shape, color, and fit are verified. You leave the same day with your new smile.
Also Available
COMPONEER is a prefabricated composite resin shell that bonds directly to your teeth in a single appointment. no lab wait, no temporaries. It's an ideal option for patients who want immediate results at a lower investment point.
Dr. Ardekani will help you choose between porcelain and COMPONEER based on your aesthetic goals, timeline, and budget during your consultation.

With proper brushing, flossing, and regular checkups, porcelain veneers typically last 15 to 20 years or longer. Avoid biting hard objects like ice or pen caps, and wear a night guard if you grind your teeth to maximize lifespan.
The prep appointment uses local anesthesia so you feel no pain during enamel removal. Some sensitivity to hot and cold is normal for a few days after each visit but resolves quickly. Oral sedation is available for anxious patients.
Brush twice daily with a non-abrasive toothpaste and a soft-bristle brush. Floss daily. Come in for your regular six-month cleanings. Avoid biting fingernails, opening packages with your teeth, or chewing very hard foods on the veneered teeth.
Cost depends on the number of veneers and the specific ceramist lab used. We provide a full breakdown at your consultation. Financing is available through CareCredit and in-house payment plans. Call (202) 750-8718 for more information.
Most adults with healthy gums and sufficient enamel are good candidates. Active gum disease or severe grinding (bruxism) must be treated first. Dr. Ardekani evaluates your full oral health before recommending veneers to make sure the result will last.
