Severe Toothache Persistent pain that doesn't respond to over-the-counter medication. Could indicate an infection, cracked tooth, or abscess requiring immediate attention.
Broken or Cracked Tooth From trauma, biting hard objects, or weakened enamel. Exposed inner tooth structure is vulnerable to infection and further damage. Save any pieces and come in immediately.
Knocked-Out Tooth Time-sensitive. best outcomes within 30 minutes. Keep the tooth moist in milk or between your cheek and gum. Do not scrub the root. Call us immediately.
Lost Filling or Crown Exposed tooth structure can cause sensitivity and further damage. Bring the crown with you if you still have it. we may be able to re-cement it the same day.
Dental Abscess Swelling, fever, and throbbing pain signal a serious infection that can spread if untreated. An abscess requires drainage and antibiotics. do not delay care.
Broken Braces or Wires Orthodontic emergencies that cause irritation or pain. A poking wire can be covered with dental wax temporarily, but come in so we can properly repair the appliance.

Knocked-out tooth
Keep it moist. place in milk or between cheek and gum. Do NOT scrub the root. Get to us within 30 minutes for the best chance of saving the tooth.
Severe toothache
Rinse with warm salt water. Take ibuprofen for pain. never place aspirin directly on gums. Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek.
Broken tooth
Save any pieces. Rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Cover any sharp edges with dental wax or sugar-free gum.
