Orthodontics

Our in-house orthodontist, Dr. Chelesa Phillips, provides comprehensive treatment for children and adults. Traditional braces, clear aligners, Invisalign, and more, all in the comfort of our DC boutique practice.
Common Issues
A "bite" refers to how your upper and lower teeth come together. Misalignment, or malocclusion, can affect appearance, chewing, speech, and long-term oral health.
Overbite
Upper front teeth overlap the lower too much. Can cause wear, jaw discomfort, and gum problems.
Underbite
Lower teeth sit in front of upper teeth. Makes chewing difficult and strains the jaw.
Crossbite
Some upper teeth sit inside lower teeth. Can cause uneven wear, gum recession, and jaw shifting.
Open Bite
Upper and lower front teeth do not touch. Affects biting, speech, and strains back teeth.
Crowding & Spacing
Crowded teeth are harder to clean and increase cavity risk. Gaps trap food and affect function.
Treatment Options
We offer both traditional braces and clear aligners so you can choose what fits your needs, goals, and lifestyle.
Metal brackets and wires gently move teeth into alignment. Best for complex bite issues, severe crowding, precise tooth movement, or large gaps. Fixed in place for continuous, controlled results.
Removable, nearly invisible trays gradually shift teeth. Ideal for mild to moderate crowding, minor bite issues, or patients wanting a discreet option. Must be worn 20 to 22 hours per day for best results.
Dr. Phillips evaluates each patient individually and recommends the treatment that best aligns with your goals, timeline, and oral health needs.
